What Does Activation Mean?
Activating your community means setting up geo.pol.is conversations for your area — whether that's your neighborhood, town, county, state, or region.
When we verify a local, nonpartisan partner organization, we'll work with them to send the first batch of invite codes and set sensible parameters for the total number of invites.
Those invited by others can then participate anonymously in structured dialogue about issues that matter to them. Participants submit statements, vote on others' ideas, and discover collective agreements that emerge through rigorous mathematical analysis of voting patterns and consensus. All the data remains open and belongs to your community, creating a transparent foundation for collaborative decision-making.
Who Can Activate a geo.pol.is conversation?
We work with community organizations, local governments, nonprofits, local news organizations, and civic groups to activate communities and ensure conversations are representative, accessible to all participants, connected to local decision-making, and sustained over time.
